I am a passionate Sustainability/CSR Communications and PR practitioner (or evangelist), and I believe that Sustainability and CSR play a key role in the new 360° communication model, powered by the rise of the C word(s): Citizen renaissance and Conversation Age.

Currently based in Shanghai, China, I am a PR consultant in CSR and Sustainability at a global independent PR firm. I also support our CSR & Sustainability network at the regional level, which allows me to have great exposure to the China market specifics while learning more from regional and global trends and best practices.

I was first turned to the power of  Sustainability, CSR and ‘ecopowerment’ during my studies at Science Po in France (Institute of Political Studies) when I got to know more about the ’social contract’ existing between companies and their stakeholders, in a context of declining trust (we’ve hit the bottom today I guess) and the rise of the Internet-facilitated activism and citizen/consumer empowerment.

After writing my final thesis on this topic, I moved on with a Master’s on Business Management and Sustainable Development which eventually brought me to China to live the best enlightening and thrilling experience, firstly for studies and now for work.

I am also volunteering for a pioneering Shanghai-based NGO called the Non-Profit Incubator (NPI) which provides critical support and assistance for newly established NGOs, grassroots organizations and social enterprises in China. At the moment I am helping a very local environemtal protection NGO with strategic planning and communications strategy – I am so happy to see grassroots organizations such as this one professionalizing themselves and building internal capacity in a Chinese non-profit sector which remains greatly complex and immature.

Well, to conclude, I am also fond of new (and old) media, politics and international relations.
